**CAUTION- Where do we begin? The post you are about to read has been chopped, diced and pureed into the fine mess below. The topic at hand is very profound and wide-ranging however it is vitally important to understand. Actually this post was part of a much larger project we are working on: A book, with real pages if you can believe that!?! Then we had an epiphany: Unless we reclaim our virginity and dreamed that we are being wined, dined, spanked and teased? No one would buy our book anyways, Holy Crap!!!**
Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, The local co-op. We all live in this “Shell” of an existence thinking that what we consume is akin to organic food for our souls, which is conveniently grown and consumed by people who have a deep respect for themselves and living a healthy life. Maybe you are one of these people?
Sadly what most of us are consuming daily is fast food for our souls: X-Factor, TMZ, iAnythings, The Facebook, WordPress and the latest, juiciest gossip from our friends (the list is never-ending). Fast food for our souls is tasty and addictive, finger licking good to be exact!
Pop quiz Hot Shot: Does your daily lifestyle provide real “nourishment for your soul? When we look around us at work, at the Box or Gym and even in the mirror? What we see and process is: Regular folks, peeps- starving for real sustenance in their lives.
Is the diet/food you consume daily dense? Is your workout program you struggle with dense? Is your highly addictive social media diet, dense?
What happens when we replace water with Mountain Dew, Green Tea for an eggnog latte? What happens when we replace the simple pleasure of reading with our kids, enjoying conversation with a dear friend? With an evening filled of Pinning Crap and Instagraming Sh!t? The answers should be self-evident peeps. Yet, as the moon sets tonight and the sun arises tomorrow … We will continue gorging ourselves with our fast food diet, without ever realizing that it very well may be slowly killing each and every one of us.
The Plan-
The Workout-
**Before you begin the Program today passionately follow these steps, you will be amazed at the difference in your workout/mood. Also, feel free to follow these steps before your very own program!**
In no particular order focus on the following:
Mind your feet while you’re getting ready this morning and during your Warm Up.
Mind your chair while you’re typing away at work.
When putting on your running/workout shoes? Try and put on the one you usually put on last, first.
Drink your tea without sugar if you’re used to sugar in your tea. If you’re used to not using sugar, just once put some sugar in your tea (or coffee). Leave the water bottle in the car while you work out. Become aware of the patterns in your life, they are extremely hard to break!
When you have to wait for something (Starbucks, Queue at the store, Waiting for a machine) breathe consciously, five deep breaths.
Take notice, right now. Where you are. Take a deep breath … Notice five things you can see. Notice five things you can hear, notice five things you can feel. Followed by:
Happy Hips Warm Up is in full effect and comes highly recommended by our kind staff! Followed by:
Overhead Walking Lunge (pick a distance as steps do not count today)
15 Broad Jumps
How many sets/time is up to you! If we told you ten or thirty minutes? You would kill yourself trying to reach this mystical number, oh wait … That’s kinda what we do already isn’t it?!?
Notes:
If you are looking for answers to the questions above? Look elsewhere as we do not have them for you. The answers you seek reside deep inside you somewhere. Feel free to crack open a bottle of wine and talk about these questions and more with your friends and family this weekend (preferably in real life – face to face) … Make the moments you spend together, Dense. ENJOY!!!

Top Tips, Advice, Input … All of these are tedious and boring, something we painstaking try not to push your way. The closest we have ever come to “Advice” is ‘Ole Uncle Mo gently slapping you up side the noggin, and let’s be honest: We all need a good slap up side the head from time to time.
So on that note, we will be tossing out some talking points this week as we slowly start to fall into hibernation here in the Northern Hemisphere. It’s a slow process but we all do it, yeah you too!!! Our hibernation starts with the shorter days and the cooler temps, then the excuses start to pour in: Too Cold, Too Dark, Too Many Pumpkin Spiced Everything’s!
“Hey girl! Check out the Chica over on the treadmill. Yeah, the one there chatting up the new trainer dude … She has and will soon have everything you want in life?!?”
Jealousy and Envy are great personal tools to use, albeit when used with tact and great care.
Jealousy and Envy are rather ugly, nasty emotions we display more times during the day than we initially thought. You know what though? These handy little emotions secretly tell us the truth about our inner-most feelings. When was the last time you envied or were jealous of someone having a flip-phone? Never … The fact is: You only envy those who have what you desire the most … You are only jealous when you feel someone has taken something from you.
Most of you reading today spend too much time running away from life, quite literally in fact. If we stop for a moment to embrace our emotions, whatever they may be? We can learn so much from them. Our emotions are here: To teach us, to guide us and to help us make the tough decisions we face in life.
The Plan-
The Workout-
Dust off the Jump Rope and let’s get after this program while the day is still young.
Mess around with your trusty rope for a few minutes to Warm Up. Followed By:
Jump Rope (for one minute)
3 Turkish Get Ups (each side)
Once again this is not AMRAP … 30 minutes would be nice?!? If you fancy yourself as Uncle Rico? Carry on with AMRAP, just keeping it real peeps!
Notes:
Jealousy and Envy (when used properly) can open up the world you were oblivious to or may have taken for granted, before you read this post of course!?! Take care today and ENJOY!!!

Don’t rush encounters with coworkers, family and friends.
Speak softly. Listen attentively.
Act as if every conversation you have is the most important thing on your mind today.
Look your children and your partner in the eyes when they talk to you.
Stroke the cat, caress the dog.
Lavish love on every living being you meet.
See how different you feel at the end of the day.

Think less, feel more-
Sadly, we have resorted to drastic measures peeps. Normally we like to keep it light and fluffy on Thursdays, always have and always will, maybe?!? The proverbial line in the sand has been drawn, until the NHL starts playing again? We will be showing cheeky Canadian videos on Thursday mornings … Sorry.
**Be forewarned! It’s all downhill from here, Strange Brew and Degrassi Junior High vid’s are on tap for next week.**
The Plan-
The Workout-
Rest Day … A brisk Walk and some Leg Drains. Simple.
Who knows? Maybe you and your ironic self-will make it on Style Blaster. <—To be cool before it’s cool? Click Me!!!

If we understood the awesome power of our words, we would prefer silence to almost anything negative. In our thoughts and words we create our own weaknesses and our own strengths. Our limitations and joys begin in our hearts. We can always replace negative with positive.

**Warning science content ahead!?!**
Place a ball on the desk in front of you and let it sit there, roll back in your chair and watch for a few moments. Nothing happened, shocking we know!
Now reach in the centre drawer and pull out some sticky notes and a pen. Write one of the following words/thoughts on the top half of each note:
Life, Yoga, Love, Work, Running, Lifting, Diet, Meditation, Pilates, Sex, Donuts … You get the point. Fold them in half and place them randomly on your desk in front of you.
Each one of us has our own unique habits, just like the ball will keep sitting there unless new outside influences act upon it.
Now gently tap the ball towards one of your notes, any which one.
The Plan-
The Workout-
Form, Flow and Grace … Find balance and harmony in a refreshing Sun Salutation Series. Followed by:
A Plank Medley consisting of the following: High Plank, Low Plank, Glute Bridge, One Arm Side Plank (each side), Forearm Plank, Side Plank (elbow bridge).
**All Planks will start with a Hinge Walk Out. This is vitally important peeps, think about it?!? When was the last time you bent over backwards? Hinged backwards? Oh, the last time you raised your hips from the floor into a Plank position. Your precious little back and hips will thank you later … **
Notes:
The goal of our exercise above is to come as close to our note without knocking it over, to gently ease up to it. Kinda like starting a new exercise program … Ease into it, slowly and with conviction. Be well today and ENJOY!!!
