There really is no need to set up this video for you this morning … Its brilliant:
Where were we?!? Diversions!
More times than not it seems that we have forgotten all about the simple diversions in our lives that help us to decompress from our daily concerns. For many of our Dear Readers this moment of forgetfulness can be found in at the local gym, a yoga mom class or a trail run in a nearby park. This sacred refuge can also be found in our gardens where tilling soil can clear away the stress of a rough day. For many others chopping up some veggies in the kitchen sweeps away the frustrations of our nagging boss at work. We may also find relief chatting amongst friends one night down at the pub or out in the bright sunshine during a weekend morning walk with a close friend. This place may also reside on the inter-webz. Where we can roar with laughter at a silly pooch jumping on a trampoline.
Wherever this place is for you, peeps it is vitally important for us to go there regularly. The more you punish yourself Running, Training, Lifting, Dieting? The very people around you don’t get the best of you! It very well may be in these quiet diversions that we find peace … “Sh!t Son!!! Did you see that dog try to do a nose-stand!?!“
The Plan-
The Workout-

We can never know what somebody’s really thinking when they look in the mirror at a store or when we see them out in the public market picking out fruit. Sometimes we might look at someone and assume that because they appear beautiful, in shape, skinny or wearing the latest fashions? That they may have a perfect life.
Chances are though … We’ll never know for sure how they really feel.
In today’s world: Perception really is reality. Might we suggest to you (this is a first here) that we need to become more conscious of the way we treat our bodies and the way we speak about it to others. Let’s try making an honest effort to stay positive in the hardest of times while at the same time making healthy choices that have a ripple effect in our lives, not just in our self-perception, but in the way others perceive us as well. As we start to intertwine these better decisions in our lives, we slowly begin to feel better. As we continue feeling better, we gradually start to act and become more confident in our bodies.
The gift that really does keep on giving!
The Plan-

If you have never been out for a Trail Run what are you waiting for? Start with a nice Walk, ease into running and end with a nice Walk. Your body will be glad you did!

Please bear with us as we try to draw a parallel between learning to live and failing in today’s hyper-drive, pressure to succeed society …
For many it has become de rigeur for us stress out over every possible challenge that we may face during the day. We no longer take the time to step back and evaluate the situation. We simply lack these skills today. We search for the solution on our iPhone or the Google Machine and stress even more after the damn system crashes! Many of the same issues we face today were addressed by generations before us through more naturalistic means: They took a few steps back and figured the problem out themselves! Today? We place too much emphasis on perfection and achieving, more stress and more problems.
A classic example: “I’m running late with the kids, the house is a mess and work is nuts! Let me look up a quick 10 minute workout I just have to squeeze in“ … An hour later on Pinterest? Same problems, More stress!
Part of our hidden agenda here at CultFit is equipping you (our dear readers) with the tools needed to navigate around in our increasingly frantic world. Think about this: Does your training program mimic the architecture of “YOUR“ real life, in which you receive varying workouts at different times and in different amounts? We fully expect you to struggle, make mistakes and learn over time. Do you?!?
Allow more time for individualism to creep into your program, more failure, find your own solutions. We already have enough pressure to succeed in life …
The Plan-
