For it is life, the very life of life
For yesterday is but a dream
And tomorrow is only a vision
But today well lived makes
every yesterday a dream of happiness
And tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day!
Such is the salutation of the dawn-
This post comes from the heart and we mean this sincerely: We cherish each and every reader that stops over for a visit. Our challenge to you over the next few days and heck, until January 2nd, 2013 is to embrace and intertwine the following thoughts into every fabric of your existence.
Thoughts for living an Authentic Day:
— Just for today, I will try to live through this day only — and not tackle my whole life’s problems at once.
— Just for today, I will be happy. This assumes that what Abraham Lincoln said is true: “Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.” Happiness is from within — it is not a matter of externals.
— Just for today, I will adjust myself to What Is and not try to adjust everything to my Own Desires. I will take my family, my work, and my luck as they come and fit myself to them.
— Just for today, I will take care of my body. I will exercise it, care for it, and nourish it and not abuse nor neglect it, so that it will be a perfect machine for my will.
— Just for today, I will try to strengthen my mind. I will study. I will learn something useful. I will not be a mental loafer all day. I will read something that requires effort, thought and concentration.
— Just for today, I will exercise my soul in three ways: 1- I will do somebody a good turn and not get found out. If anybody knows of it, it will not count. 2- I will do at least two things I don’t want to do, just for exercise of will-power. 3– I will not show anyone that my feelings are hurt. They may be hurt, but today I will not show it.
— Just for today, I will be agreeable. I will look as well as I can, dress as becomingly as possible, talk low, act courteously, be generous with praise and criticize not one bit nor find fault with anything. I will try not to regulate nor improve anyone.
— Just for today, I will have a program. I will write down just what I expect to do every hour. I may not follow it exactly, but I’ll have it as a pattern to follow. It will save me from the two pests – HURRY and INDECISION.
— Just for today, I will have a quiet half-hour, all by myself to relax. In this half-hour, some time, I will think of a higher power, so as to get a little more perspective to my purpose in life.
— Just for today, I will be unafraid, more specifically: I will not be afraid to be happy, to enjoy what is beautiful, to love and to believe that those I love, love me.

Only this moment is life-
What does it mean to be fully present?
For starters: Stop worrying about Thanksgiving and take care of your Body – Mind – Spirit in this present moment.
A few startling patterns will begin to come into focus for us this week. Chances are you are aware that the Thanksgiving Holiday is this coming Thursday here in good ole ‘Merica! Before we get off topic on another rant (and you can probably guess where this rant will go …) we want to talk about a taboo topic around these parts: DIET.
We quite literally just finished reading the 100th blog-o-post about working out and eating right this coming Thanksgiving. Seriously peeps … Dare we tread into troubled waters?
“Oh how nice, eat less, exercise more!?! Ground breaking stuff right there!“
This type of advice is nauseating and inadequate at best. Take a quick look around at the waistlines of the lovely peeps passing by? Something should become painfully clear: Different body types use calories in different ways. Each one of us are programmed and predisposed to carry more fat, more weight than others. No kidding hot-shot – Diet and exercise help … (<—Key Word). Although when all is said and done, the solution we seek is inevitably more complicated and complex than pushing away the plate and torturing yourself in the days leading up to Thanksgiving.
One day out of one year feasting with close family and friends will not hurt … We promise!!!
**Take a moment to re-read the quote at the top of the post again, we beg of you**
The Plan-
The Workout-
Let’s start with a nice refreshing Happy Hips Warm Up. Followed By:
150 Alternating Goblet Squats (flowing)
150 Hard Style KB Swings (snappy)
150 Perfect Push Ups (even power)
Slice ’em and Dice ’em as you see fit … 15×10 works pretty well?!?
Notes:
Be fully present peeps, it’s all we ask … ENJOY!!!

I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass the world is too full to talk about.”
The one “thing” that keeps us writing is the friendships we have developed over the past year with you, our dear readers. All of us have different backgrounds, yet we also share a great deal in common.
Grown up chat time amongst close friends.
Many well-intentioned blog-o-sphere peeps common belief is that: If they buy the right book, find the right workout program, discover the proper weight-loss program, employ the right combination of body spray, dress in the latest seasonal Lululemon colors, eat organic fruit from Whole Foods … While also having the latest gadget, having the best yoga mat in class, chanting the best mantra, eating gluten-free, pressing the right pressure-points while foam rolling and breathing the proper way chomping on a veggie burger? Everything in their nettlesome lives will be perfect.
Here’s the truth between friends.
If you drink more than a liter of water a day, find nice shoes that fit, and go for a walk daily (even when it’s nasty outside), only THEN will all of our life’s mysteries and problems be solved.
We know you don’t want to hear this next series of thoughts, tough luck! We, YOU and the peeps behind you. Spend too much of our day, day dreaming and writing witty blog posts on why our lives seem so oddly out of balance. We want to make life better for those we love. We also want to improve the world we call home and give it the wisdom of what we have to offer. We want to know how to do “something” better and we look to those who will provide guidance.
Here’s the problem: We spend so much time giving advice to others that we simply forget about ourselves.
The advice we give only satisfies the recipients appetite for so long, then the hunger strikes again. Wanting better, fresher and smarter advice than the day before. A vicious cycle begins …
Do you truly want to know how to improve across all areas of your life? From doing the wash to performing a kipping pull up?
Bloom – Blossom – Flourish
Roll up your sleeves and get dirty …

Today’s program is likely the hardest one we have ever done. If you would like to know more about it please email us at:
Notes:
You should eat a gluten-free, vegan diet and wash it down with some refreshing coconut water. Boot camps are for the weak at mind, X-Fit is where it’s at. Pilates is for soccer moms and Yoga is for, well … If you ever needed advice? You won’t find it here friends. Be well today and ENJOY!!!

My body sucks. I exercise religiously, diet, binge, read all the mind numbing blogs and magazines. Yet I still feel inferior to others (Gals and Dudes are equally guilty).
“I just wish I could stop beating myself up all the time over petty, little things … That’s it I quit! ”
Like it or not all of us React to adversity and troubling times when we should be Refocusing.
We could not possibly leave you in such a depressed state on a lovely Friday morning could we?!? What follows could be called advice, by some. Others may call our kind words unwarranted and self-righteous, either way we are all adults here and we can form our own decisions …
Are you a quitter? Do you find yourself tossing in the towel daily? Here’s the lowdown peeps: Quitters blame those around them and the world for their disappointments. YOU are not a quitter!
Less time Reacting and more time Refocusing.
The Plan-
The Workout-
Limber up with the program from yesterday … Followed by:
30 Minutes of the following:
10 KB Floor Presses (each arm)
1 Turkish Get Up (each arm)
10 KB Bent Over Rows (each arm)
Notes:
Be sure to go back through this weeks posts and click on the images! Most of them are perfect for your desktop (Hi-Res). Be well this weekend and ENJOY!!!

**CAUTION- Where do we begin? The post you are about to read has been chopped, diced and pureed into the fine mess below. The topic at hand is very profound and wide-ranging however it is vitally important to understand. Actually this post was part of a much larger project we are working on: A book, with real pages if you can believe that!?! Then we had an epiphany: Unless we reclaim our virginity and dreamed that we are being wined, dined, spanked and teased? No one would buy our book anyways, Holy Crap!!!**
Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, The local co-op. We all live in this “Shell” of an existence thinking that what we consume is akin to organic food for our souls, which is conveniently grown and consumed by people who have a deep respect for themselves and living a healthy life. Maybe you are one of these people?
Sadly what most of us are consuming daily is fast food for our souls: X-Factor, TMZ, iAnythings, The Facebook, WordPress and the latest, juiciest gossip from our friends (the list is never-ending). Fast food for our souls is tasty and addictive, finger licking good to be exact!
Pop quiz Hot Shot: Does your daily lifestyle provide real “nourishment for your soul? When we look around us at work, at the Box or Gym and even in the mirror? What we see and process is: Regular folks, peeps- starving for real sustenance in their lives.
Is the diet/food you consume daily dense? Is your workout program you struggle with dense? Is your highly addictive social media diet, dense?
What happens when we replace water with Mountain Dew, Green Tea for an eggnog latte? What happens when we replace the simple pleasure of reading with our kids, enjoying conversation with a dear friend? With an evening filled of Pinning Crap and Instagraming Sh!t? The answers should be self-evident peeps. Yet, as the moon sets tonight and the sun arises tomorrow … We will continue gorging ourselves with our fast food diet, without ever realizing that it very well may be slowly killing each and every one of us.
The Plan-
The Workout-
**Before you begin the Program today passionately follow these steps, you will be amazed at the difference in your workout/mood. Also, feel free to follow these steps before your very own program!**
In no particular order focus on the following:
Mind your feet while you’re getting ready this morning and during your Warm Up.
Mind your chair while you’re typing away at work.
When putting on your running/workout shoes? Try and put on the one you usually put on last, first.
Drink your tea without sugar if you’re used to sugar in your tea. If you’re used to not using sugar, just once put some sugar in your tea (or coffee). Leave the water bottle in the car while you work out. Become aware of the patterns in your life, they are extremely hard to break!
When you have to wait for something (Starbucks, Queue at the store, Waiting for a machine) breathe consciously, five deep breaths.
Take notice, right now. Where you are. Take a deep breath … Notice five things you can see. Notice five things you can hear, notice five things you can feel. Followed by:
Happy Hips Warm Up is in full effect and comes highly recommended by our kind staff! Followed by:
Overhead Walking Lunge (pick a distance as steps do not count today)
15 Broad Jumps
How many sets/time is up to you! If we told you ten or thirty minutes? You would kill yourself trying to reach this mystical number, oh wait … That’s kinda what we do already isn’t it?!?
Notes:
If you are looking for answers to the questions above? Look elsewhere as we do not have them for you. The answers you seek reside deep inside you somewhere. Feel free to crack open a bottle of wine and talk about these questions and more with your friends and family this weekend (preferably in real life – face to face) … Make the moments you spend together, Dense. ENJOY!!!
