*Originally posted at CultFit.org some time ago (adjusted a tad for today).
Having recounted the positive events that have happened over the last year I feel more positive about where I currently am at and I hope you feel the same? For many though, they feel there is nothing to rejoice about: Not now and certainly not in the near future. Many are immersed in a fatalistic time zone. There’s an app for this, sadly.
We need to realize that our lives are not controlled by fates outside of our inherent ability to modify, adjust, or temper what is not working for us. The all so real truth is that all of us get depressed and when this depression gets really bad? We are stuck in our own misery, our very own pity party (yes, there is even an app for pity parties as well).
Hold out your left hand and start peeling back your fingers for of all the ‘things‘ you have going right in your life, right in this moment: Heart still ticking, still breathing, family, friends, leftover meatballs etc. Now on your right hand let’s start peeling back fingers for ‘things‘ we enjoy and promise ourselves to “Make The Time For” even if we don’t have the time – to practice present hedonism. Pursue the events in your life that make you feel good about yourself and your outlook on life. What follows are a few of the things I enjoy, maybe you will enjoy the same:
• An evening Walk while eating an apple.
• Playing bicycle Tag with the little ones – Your it!
• Email, call or message a friend and say: “Hey your pretty special! Not that special but special none the less.”
• Practice Meditation and Yoga.
• Nature is heaven on earth. Less time inside and more time outside, Playing in the fluffy white stuff.
Notes:
Why spend so much time abusing and punishing your mind, spirit and body? Take care today.
I’m Glad You Stopped Over

The Quite Place <— If you don’t do anything else during your short visit here today? Take the time to click this link!!!
Allow us on this lovely and chilly Thursday morning to summarize what many of you are going to do over the next week:
YOU are going to put the very “things” you passionately adore and care about on hold. With the intent being to fulfill your wishes next year … Hmm the Dreaded New Years Resolution madness is beginning to run a muck here in the blog-o-sphere!
Do feel like you can handle the truth this morning?
The problem with this logic is that more often than not (like every damn year you do this), tomorrow never comes, the “resolution” you set never comes to fruition and the flickering flame of hope extinguishes. Most people set off soundly on the right foot thinking that they will eventually get to all the “things” they dreamed of doing. However, once the New Year rings in and you shake off your cheap champagne hangover … It’s March and the Lambs are roaring in. Many others, if they actually do hold true to their New Year plan, either find themselves either physically hurt, worn down or dead by June. Unable to do the very “things” they wished upon all winter and dreamed of doing the rest of the year. Sadly, many fall into a deep, depressive “mood” in which they feel as if they had wasted all the wonderful opportunities they had planned on, like going out for an early run this morning. When you are full of Vitality, Passion, and Excitement.
*End of Part One*
The Plan-
The Workout-
Dim the lights (or go outside at dawn), light a candle and find Grace in your Salute to the Sun.
Hint: Grace will not normally be found at the “Box” … Just saying peeps.
Notes:
This is YOUR life, not the fake one you live online, not your 9:30 am Power Yoga instructor’s life … YOUR life. Take control of Your destiny and ENJOY!!!

Hopefully everyone made it home in one piece after Halloween last night. The individual below on the other hand…
The Plan-
It’s time to be completely honest with us here at CultFit HQ Random Fitness peeps. How many of you just roll right through your given workout without giving any thought to what you are actually doing? We thought so and it changes today. Listen to your body the rest of the week…
The Workout-
Not for time…
20m Heavy Farmers Walk…Followed by:
20 Perfect Push Ups
3 Goblet Squat Holds
We prefer you do this first set barefoot for the following reason: Actively spread your toes during each step and grip the floor beneath you. If you feel you are a danger to your well-being and stand the chance of dropping the weights…Don’t. Every movement we do is under control and planned with a purpose. Heavy Farmers Walks give us the perfect opportunity to perform single rep dead-lift right?
20m Heavy Farmers Walk…Followed by:
20 Perfect Push Ups
3 Goblet Squat Holds
Quick feet this time while still gripping the floor. Big chest and chin up, paying more attention to your core stability. Open No thumb), loose grip on the weight.
20m Heavy Farmers Walk…Followed by:
20 Perfect Push Ups
3 Goblet Squat Holds
Gently and importantly, under control lean forward and let gravity assist during this set.

20 Perfect Push Ups

Notes: During the last set put all the pieces together and walk it out until your grip fails you. ENJOY!!!
