Volando Alto

License my roving hands, and let them go
Before, behind, between, above, below-

I love everything about seduction. Seduction (to me) is about squeezing every ounce of pleasure, out of every experience we come across and embrace – Fully. Life has taught us what happens when we rush “things“, we can miss the best parts of life … The true essence of seduction – is savoring the moments before …

I find it interesting that we often associate seduction with sex, when in fact, true – passionate seduction is the polar opposite of sex. Sex is when our desire(s) are met. Seduction is not about the culmination or gratification of our desire(s), seduction is the thrill that arises in the pursuit of desire itself.

I may have learned something about seduction while wandering my path recently. That the deep truth to seduction, we so often overlook? Is to slow down, savoring the moment unfolding in front of you. Often at times I think that “things” are not moving fast enough in my life, meandering along to their own whimsical beat. In the past. I wanted things now, before they even happened. Today,  I adjust my thoughts to how I can seduce myself with the idea, the possibility – That everything in this beautiful world changes shape and form – Slowly.

Notes:

Savor everything you are about to enjoy today, embrace seduction as a path to pleasure.

Trying My New Wings

All differences in this world are of degree, and not of kind, because oneness is the secret of everything-

There is only one universal concept that brings everyone -everything together in this beautiful world – Oneness.

The concept of oneness and being part of a vast, infinitely elaborate web of interconnectedness is not a new concept. Let’s pause and think about this for a moment. When we arrive at yoga class (just one example – embrace any event) it was our decision alone to be there, to show up, unfurling our mat(s) and opening ourselves up to the limitless possibilities we are about to explore. Oneness is a unifying concept that has survived even in our neomanic world. You can physically feel the energy flowing during class if you open your body and mind, allowing “oneness” to fill your spirit.

Too many people are living in a dystopian world, embracing illusions of separation, “me” first – Sadly.

Notes:

Focused intention on living our daily lives with oneness at the forefront of our thoughts? Will be reflected in everything we do, during yoga class or while stuck in traffic. Welcome to reality …

Decay

I would prefer not to-

Many, many issues in life arise when the self-centered aspect of our being, our ego, goes unchecked and uncontrolled. Manipulation … Let’s take a moment to say this aloud: Manipulation.

Manipulation is the preferred means of the ego in order for it to get what it wants, no matter the cost or damage incurred. Manipulation in a physical form can be seen all around this lovely Monday morning. Peek in on a yoga class and you’ll see well-intentioned folks pushing, gushing negative energy, simply not “being”. Manipulation in a physical form can be seen at the local trail head as well, ace bandages covering throbbing, painful injuries. Knee braces supporting a weakened limb, headphones and devices tuning out the present moment.

If we seek diligently enough, maybe in a misty bathroom mirror …  Manipulation can be seen to work on the emotional level as well. Bending us, forcing us to meet the manipulator(s) desires.

Notes:

Manipulation on both an emotional and physical level blocks us from being free, ourselves and destroys our free will.

People who make no mistakes lack boldness and the spirit of adventure. They are the brakes on the wheels of progress-

One would think that giving is something nice to do, something to celebrate, something to enjoy, something to embrace and yet, very often there is a great deal of discomfort and even embarrassment that surrounds giving.

Why is this so?

Is it that we’re worried what other people will think of us, whether they will approve of our gift, sentiment or words? Is it that we are expecting a certain result and become fearful that we might not receive it? Or is it that we somehow feel unworthy or insecure in the process of giving?

Notes:

Whatever the reason, the next time I “give“, I will be bold, I will give with every bit of my being, irregardless of the expectations I harbor and the fear gripping me.

Be well today and have a great weekend!
