I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass the world is too full to talk about.”
The one “thing” that keeps us writing is the friendships we have developed over the past year with you, our dear readers. All of us have different backgrounds, yet we also share a great deal in common.
Grown up chat time amongst close friends.
Many well-intentioned blog-o-sphere peeps common belief is that: If they buy the right book, find the right workout program, discover the proper weight-loss program, employ the right combination of body spray, dress in the latest seasonal Lululemon colors, eat organic fruit from Whole Foods … While also having the latest gadget, having the best yoga mat in class, chanting the best mantra, eating gluten-free, pressing the right pressure-points while foam rolling and breathing the proper way chomping on a veggie burger? Everything in their nettlesome lives will be perfect.
Here’s the truth between friends.
If you drink more than a liter of water a day, find nice shoes that fit, and go for a walk daily (even when it’s nasty outside), only THEN will all of our life’s mysteries and problems be solved.
We know you don’t want to hear this next series of thoughts, tough luck! We, YOU and the peeps behind you. Spend too much of our day, day dreaming and writing witty blog posts on why our lives seem so oddly out of balance. We want to make life better for those we love. We also want to improve the world we call home and give it the wisdom of what we have to offer. We want to know how to do “something” better and we look to those who will provide guidance.
Here’s the problem: We spend so much time giving advice to others that we simply forget about ourselves.
The advice we give only satisfies the recipients appetite for so long, then the hunger strikes again. Wanting better, fresher and smarter advice than the day before. A vicious cycle begins …
Do you truly want to know how to improve across all areas of your life? From doing the wash to performing a kipping pull up?
Bloom – Blossom – Flourish
Roll up your sleeves and get dirty …
The Plan-
Link of the Day: From Sea to Shining Sea
The Workout-
Today’s program is likely the hardest one we have ever done. If you would like to know more about it please email us at:
Notes:
You should eat a gluten-free, vegan diet and wash it down with some refreshing coconut water. Boot camps are for the weak at mind, X-Fit is where it’s at. Pilates is for soccer moms and Yoga is for, well … If you ever needed advice? You won’t find it here friends. Be well today and ENJOY!!!
Are You Married to Your Program?!?
Posted: June 22, 2012 Filed under: Random Workout | Tags: hope, love, marriage, relationships 31 CommentsLet this be a lesson to you. Never do tequila shooters within a country mile of a wedding chapel-
We are currently swimming in an era of social change and marital unrest. We have grown accustomed to making harsh, thoughtless decisions when we commit to a new program. We live in a culture that looks “beyond” the norm, constantly looking for the latest and greatest. We all aspire in one way or another to build a stable enduring program…Yet we are not in love with the “now”…We are in love with the “next”.
Enduring Love <—Must Clicky Here!!!
The aspect that we want to explore with you is of bonding, and creating a lasting union between you and your chosen program. When we declare and say our vows we are making a promise to ourselves not only in this beautiful moment, but for the future as well.
Let us walk hand in hand into the spiritual realm of marriage where two souls, hearts become one. Is it this romantic-passion aspect that is leading you to the altar? A longing for and finding your true self? Otherwise, in this era, when there are fewer people working out, moving about and living life to its fullest each and every day. We live in a society where sitting on your mom’s couch all day is the norm, and where there are yummy little temptations at every turn. Why is it then that simply committing to bettering yourself is lost on so many people? Embrace the idea of becoming exclusive in your bond and understand that outside temptations rip the fabric from this delicate relationship. These outside fitness trends temporarily, dare we say permanently? Undermine your’ sense of personal identity.
This goes much deeper than the promise-breaking, the deception you show towards yourself. The breaking of the bond itself, that is the devastating blow to marriage. You deserve to treat yourself better!
Notes:
Find the one item in your life that you truly are passionate about. Be it slimming up, avoiding injury, heading off health risks? Make your bond profound and heart-felt, one that is not easily broken or swayed by current trends.
Marriage is not an institution to ENDURE, rather it is one to nurture, cherish and love. Look for the strength within you, not the weakness.

Today’s sign of the Apocalypse:
Some of you reading this fine morning may or may not know that the 116th running of the Boston Marathon is going down this weekend. You also may or my not know (who really cares) that one of our dear team members here, Sister Margaret has been in Boston all week preparing for the run. We kindly asked her to sit down and write a little exposé about the ‘Merican running community. Before we get to her scathing piece…What is up with Boston anyways? Who really cares about that city? Now its common knowledge that the “real” Boston is in Lincolnshire home of the majestic St Botolph’s Church and not some lame, wanna be spoiled rotten sports city. Anyways…
…Is Christian Grey running this year or not? I sincerely hope so, Holy crap: Americans are so bland and two-dimensional!
Something titillating happened during the course of being amongst a gathering of local runners during the past few days, the proverbial light bulbs started to flicker then they finally managed to fully illuminate themselves. These events were eerily similar to reading an old Penny Dreadful when I was younger. Why is it that everyone seems to feel uncomfortable about having their inner and outer selves virtually delineated? Just yesterday I spotted a young woman craftily dressed for the running occasion reading the dreadful and horribly written book Fifty Shades of Grey at an outdoor cafe for lunch. Getting off on a little light spanking and unarousing sex scenes while sipping on her crisp Perrier. Oh, almost forgot: munching on a fresh cheese plate as well. I could keenly tell her inner temperature and desire were rising, how? The sweat outlined fingers grasping her iPad and the salacious look gripping her face.
Then I started to think about this in broader terms. Today you can Google: “Fitness” and in .019 seconds you get your daily dose of erotic movements served to you to fill your every desire. Beautiful men and women barely clothed, steaming with sweat…Holy Crap!!! I could care less what movements they are performing, I want the virtual image of perceived hard work in my head during the run this Sunday!
Back in the old days there was something dreadful about running for miles on end. Where do I pull my motivation for the final 15 miles? Remember when your were a kid back in the day at the local corner store trying to build up the courage to buy the June issue of Pent House (gals have their faves as well) in 1980? “I look to young. There is no way the man behind the counter will sell it to me! Dear God what if my parents find out?” The sooner we admit that nobody needs a seedy magazine to see nudity in today’s world…
So it should come as no surprise now that everyone (and I mean everyone) is hyper obsessed with fitness/health because it’s easy, sexy and extremely assessable. Do you engage in a running routine or pull your motivation for a hard workout from a scantily glad stud who you perceive is begging to see some secret potential in you? From what I can surmise: The only times you are thoroughly motivated to run or workout is when you finish a chapter of fifty Shades of Grey and open the Pinterest app to find a hot young man to keep you company for the last few miles. And for the love of god if I hear one more yoga mom here ask: “Is this cheese plate paleo friendly?”
The Plan-
Inner drive, passion, desire to achieve the unachievable…Holy Crap!!!
The Workout-
Let’s have some fun before the weekend begins…You will need a park, an open space and some friends and family.
