… I want you
I want you so bad
I want you
I want you so bad …
Today’s sign of the Apocalypse: Zumba and Prostitution
You, yeah you over there in your velvety soft Love Pink Jammies. You are the only one who can stand up for your life! When you wake up in the morning and walk across the cold bathroom floor to shower? YOU are honoring your commitment to following through on your intentions … Unless you like stinking up the joint all day long? When you slowly begin to put one foot in front of the other beginning a refreshing Trail Run? When you choose to pack a lunch to work instead of ordering the #2 from the local kabob shop? You and you alone are making your values a priority in your life.
Living a life full of purpose is not something you trip over and discover at the gym. Living a life of purpose is something you gently create by turning your otherwise benign actions into purposeful actions that make a direct impact on your life (taking a shower) … Rinse and Repeat peeps into a thick hardy lather.
The Plan-
The Workout-
Let’s start the day with a flowing Sun Salutation Series followed by:
Perfect Push Up – WAR!!!
Using a deck of standard playing cards, challenge your best mate (or a clueless X-Fit albóndiga) to a push up contest. Both of you turn over a card, If you have the higher card? Rest, while your mate performs the loosing number of Perfect Push Ups. Joker=20, Ace=15, King=13, Queen=12, Jack=11 and so forth on down the line. Go back and forth until you get too tired.
**This also works rather well with any other movements we do here.**
Notes:
Would you start to perform the workouts if we called them by a different name? What if we named them: Extreme/Elite/Warrior/X-Fit WAD … would you do them now?!? Contrary to public opinion: You can have FUN while developing NURTURING habits!
Revisit the last three Workout peeps and leave your ELITE competitive spirit at the door … ENJOY!!!
**In all reality these are solid, repeat SOLID pilates programs.**
I love this. Good thoughts for the day, whose turn is it for push ups anyway, I think it’s yours LOL 😀
My turn? OK, How many do I have to perform this time?!? You are kicking my butt at this game! 🙂
LOL, give me 20 Mister!
I’m having second thoughts about this game. 😉
“Living a life full of purpose is not something you trip over and discover at the gym. Living a life of purpose is something you gently create by turning your otherwise benign actions into purposeful actions that make a direct impact on your life.”
Wow, I needed that today.
I’m really happy that this little passage resonated within you. 🙂
Love your thought…”Living a full life….” perfectly articulated!
There’s a first time for everything, right?!? I struggle with trying to take complex abstract thoughts/ideas easy to digest or even taking blatantly obvious stuff refreshing to hear. Basically, this is what CultFit is all about. 😉
Wish the best today and please take care! 🙂
Great post! Will power is not something one has, it is something one builds. We often lose sight of that.
Usually in our teens this happens and it takes most of our adult lives to figure it out. 🙂
Going on my second, first trail run on Sunday with my buddy Pete… Woohoo!
You’ll have a blast! Where at?
Holdridge – Holly, Michigan
Not bad dude, have fun!
My boyfriend is a former marine and alway says I’m not doing pushups correctly even though I’m quite strong. Gah! I’ll get it soon.
A proper push up is a fine art that takes some time to learn correctly. The Marines and the military squeeze this out of you (trust me I know firsthand). 😉
Thinking about push ups as a controlled movement rather than a strength movement is a good start … Strength gets you an extra two or three at the end. Form, Flow and Grace get you through the first 97. 🙂
Take care and have a great weekend!
