Starry Eyed

Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple-

Smiling: Evidence

“There must be a secret, hidden cleverly in today’s message?”

Maybe, the secret is accepting that our very own humane behavior towards others … Are their own reward(s), rather than an investment for an expected future return. We implore you to practice today, replacing the following thought:

I’ll be nice to you so you’ll do something for me with:

I’ll be nice to you because I feel passionately, that it’s the right thing to do and will make it more likely that you will be nice to someone else, who then may be nice to another person today.

That’s it folks, pithy enough for you!?!

The Workout-

Did you know that Adho Mukha Svanasana is a pose of rest, harmony and balance?!?

CultFit Rest

A pose of rest, not struggle …

Hinge Walk Out Perfect Push Ups – Resting in Adho Mukha Svanasana between sets.

*This little program is something we practice weekly here, away from the inter-webz*

Notes:

We are starting to hone and redefine what it means in essence, to live fully, everyday.  To forgive, love and do no harm. Remember, CultFit is a heuristic process and not something that IS. A tad deep today, on purpose.  Be well.

great post today, again. love the message; so true. have a great day!

  2. I’ve been reading the Happiness Project and have found that she could benefit from eastern wisdom like this post. She wants to make more friends so she makes herself meet 3 people a month whom she can be-friend. I think she should be friends with them because she wants to, not to receive an added benefit like you say in this post. Happy Wednesday!

I’m not familiar with the Happiness Project, maybe you can tell me more about it?!?
Today’s post is what I like to call “dense” with a lot of meaning, not because I am dense at times 😉 The message today, I feel, is as simple as it gets: Put forth your intentions in good faith, with a smile and seek nothing in return. 🙂
Take care today and thank you!

  3. Susan says:

Smiling really does have a large influence on your attitude. If I smile, it is really hard to be angry. Unless it’s a super creepy smile and then I look sinister.

    (Insert MWHAHAHAHAHHA)

“Are their own reward(s), rather than an investment for an expected future return.”

    This is purely stated truth.

Thanks again for another great message.

  5. Great post and so true. It takes a lot of energy and motivation to look deeply at our true intentions…and even more to right them.

Wonderful. Maybe with more shoulder strength, and practice, downdog will be more “relaxing” Then again, after a plank or pushups, I suppose it would be!

This may get a tad deep, but you can handle it …
Yoga is a very personal relationship with yourself (not like that). Yoga is more about breathing, mediation and finding your true self, not just a series of silly movements. Go to any yoga class and you will see people struggling in this pose, it’s not the pose they are struggling against: They struggle against themselves.
Did you make it? Good, I hope you are having a great day!?!
