And understanding someone else-
We’re taught early in life that deep, passionate joy – love, can be found if we follow our most intense desires. It turns out though that these desire(s) are frequently pushing us into a personal hell. A hell riddled with loss, injury and suffering at every turn.
Since I started to explore my path towards developing a real – tangible joy, a healthy love of life. I learned that taking the time to explore failure and learning how to understand the subtle differences between success and failure is paramount. How many of us have started new fitness routines, taken up yoga or running with a sense of new hope, finding a new love … Only to find that they lead us right back to the pains we’ve experienced time and time before?
Many of us has taken center stage and acted out our personal “myth of lost love found.” The attributes of our failures, success and desires are unique to each one of us, these attributes are deep, personal and must be explored and understood if we wish not to repeat them … Farther down our amazing path(s) in life
Notes:
If you walk away after reading patiently this morning, carrying one single thought throughout the rest of the afternoon , it would be this: Follow your heart exclusively. I believe this to be the kindest path to love.
I love that philosophy: Follow your heart exclusively. It bespeaks an innocence and purity of purpose and flawless focus. Would that we all follow our hearts, and that no hearts are broken in this attempt at living. ❤
As a guy, this topic is one of the most difficult conversations to have with people in person and even to write about. Let’s be fully open … Talking about following your heart, exclusively in any other endeavor besides love and relationships? Needless to say I get a lot of push back and eyes rolling around. 🙂 Thank you immensely for taking the time to read today and for choosing to engage in the conversation, a conversation I wish more kind folks would choose to have. Be well today and please take care!
It is a topic I believe in wholeheartedly (!) but one that I do struggle with at times. That is the human condition, I fear, to seek for mastery and oneness and ignore the naysayers, and also, importantly, to be forgiving when one does not excel as well as one wishes. And then to continue striving day to day. The quote of the day today was “In what ways do my hands resemble the Buddha’s hands?” (ZEN KOAN) (Of course, one could substitute one’s higher power for Buddha.) And that is the question. I hope that my hands are full of love and good purpose. I think it is a quest that never ceases, at least until we cease being human.
I absolutely loved this. Reminds me of the way my cousin writes and the way she thinks and those are my two favorite things about her. Well done (:
Your cousin sounds like an inspiring and kind person, kinda like yourself. 🙂 Thank you for stopping over, take care and please be well!!
I find it extremely odd that when I was growing up, I often hear from elders, “Use your head!” And now that we are beyond the younger years, we discover to heed the heart.
I think the elders screwed us up big time.
No doubt! The squishy thing between my ears managed to find more trouble than I could manage at times. 😉
Haha… so true!
I believe my grandma is happier I didn’t listen too much from her. 😉
Following my heart exclusively is so difficult when my head won’t shut up! I don’t even know what that path would necessarily look like. Makes me wonder…
I often wonder about the very same thing. 🙂 Then I snap out of my little daydream and follow my heart, no matter where it leads me … Usually lost on some rural gravel road near the Colorado – Nebraska border. Be inspired today and please take care!
Despite all the pain we receive in that area it is difficult to keep listening to our hearts. Follow your heart exclusively – This has become my mantra and I will meditate on that today. I’ve always trusted my gut instincts and that has served me well over my many years. As I think about it, a “gut feeling” is really a feeling in the center of your being, a knowing, which I now believe can only truly come from your heart. So trust those gut instincts and follow your heart. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
Thanks for stopping by :^)
No worries! I’m trying to catch up on my reading from being unplugged for a few weeks. 🙂 Take care today!
