Temple of (Un)Fed Fire

My past is everything I failed to be-

In our society we have many dysfunctional examples of how to “treat” ourselves: Unbelievably tasty and rich foods, ridiculously expensive clothes, exotic marathon vacations and 4 hour-long power yoga sessions … We’re consistently told, at every turn, that more is better.

Learning to take deep care of yourself, thinking meaningfully about the “things” in your life that nurture your body and spirit. Moving confidently into the future, instead of focusing on what feels good in the moment. This is a true treat to enjoy: Yourself.

Notes:

Who would you be if you “treated” yourself a little bit more?

  1. I’ve been thinking about this lately. It feels like life is so much less complicated when we have less. Less furniture, less job security, less money. The more we accumulate, the more we feel we have to lose, the more pressures there are. I’m not saying we have to live in poverty, but simplicity is key.
