The Gift That Keeps on Giving

Worldly pleasures seem so very tiring, Like the allergic weed that itches on contact. It itches if you don’t scratch, but it hurts if you do. It is like mocking a dumb man-

Did you take the time to relish the simple pleasures over this long Labor Day holiday weekend?  Did you avoid the salacious lure of consumerism during the time you spent out shopping?

Today instead of trying to make up for something we missed this past summer, let us practice contentment:  Knowing that enough, really truly can be enough.

The Plan-

Simpler times indeed …

The Workout-

Rest Day of sorts … Try something new on for size and see how you like it today.  Report back with your results in the witty comment section below!

Notes:

Wrapping up a four day weekend can be tough, goodness!  Rest up peeps, the remainder of the week may get a bit bumpy … ENJOY!!!

Ahh … Late 40’s London, how the times have changed. Just went for a nice bike ride with the little one and now its time for some peppermint tea. 🙂

So nice! I also have been reflecting on labor day and end-of-the-long-weekend sadness.

I did break my usual, don’t shop on holidays rule to pick the fam up some ice cream to celebrate the last day of summer break, but only after a family cycle ride followed by some swimming. Sometimes ya just gotta have some moose tracks.
