Sing a Simple Song

The words ‘I Love You’ kill, and resurrect millions, in less than a second-

Chances are many of us have endless “should(s)” that occupy our lives; things we want to change in order to make our lives better. Passion can shed a new light on these “should(s)“.

Passion offers us insight(s) about our behavior that touch us most deeply. Passion calls to us, often in our most undefended moments, and its call carries a sense of urgency and truth that we feel deep inside. If we can pick out the core elements from the cacophony of life’s demands, and if we give these elements the priority they deserve? Our lives will shift into a completely new direction.

The journey to finding what we love is more akin to a treasure hunt than a straight path. When we listen and follow the message we’ve discovered, intimately, passionately? We are then led onto another path, another treasure … What we discovery may very surprise and delight us, there’s only one way to find out!

Thank you for this, and I love the beautiful image above. I always say that the only thing I should/ ought/need to do is whatever I want to do and I suppose that want is fuelled by some form of passion, just as you wrote.

The post from today falls inline with this post … I often write with a wide brush stroke and quite vaguely at times. We could easily being talking about love and relationships instead of finding what we truly enjoy to stay active and healthy. To me, they are very much the same.
I’m glad you enjoyed the picture as well 🙂 Take care today!

  2. I used to live by “shoulds” and “have tos.” I have been excommunicating those words from my vocabulary for the last month. Successful so far. Thanks for the gentle reminder.

There are signs manifesting to us each day. They are not always as visible and expressing themselves in neon colours. The focus we need to have to be in harmony with our passions, our inner self… this does not come easily. More often we hear the outer layers of the din around us… not realizing there is soft music when only we take time to listen intently.

Ooohh… that was kinda deep, huh? 😉
