In the basement of our critically acclaimed “CultFit Analytical Department” our researchers have been quite busy of late crunching numbers and watching Ellen. Here’s what they have come up with:
Men Do Everything They Do In Order to Get Laid
and Women Do Everything They Do In Order To Look Like Other Women
What? Did their report rub you the wrong way? Feel free to opine in the always “lively” comments section … Although bear in mind they did just recently publish this report about our future:

Long time readers will recognize this program from our “Open the Backdoor” series of Workouts published a long time ago.
Get out of the tub, Put down the iPad, Forget about taking pictures of your breakfast to post, Lift your chin up and Open the Backdoor to go do something … Obviously the previous sentence was written for the pretentious, delicate YogaMom’s reading today. For the dudes: Get yer ass off the couch and open the door!
We went for a nice Walk to the park and did a bunch of Perfect Pull Ups, that’s it.

Contrary to popular opinion there is some actual ground breaking Psychological Innovation going on around here, ENJOY!!!
Thanks. I think that this is one of your best post.
Thank you so much 🙂
That crossfit tri sounds really awesome!! I’ve done the Xterra open water/off-road tri series before and it was SO FUN!
Be honest…Does it sound awesome because its CF or a Tri?
Oh I’m totally anti-CF, I’m sure it’s a CULT. No pun intended, seriously.
I like it because I prefer trail running to roads, open salt water to pools, lakes, rivers, and well, I do prefer road cycling to mountain biking – but only because I suck at MBX because I have no idea how to use the effing gears the right way.
I hope you didn’t think I was trying to lure you into something with the loaded question I asked earlier? If so I apologize, humbly 😉
Like you I enjoy the trails and open water. Even more so I love the bike!
Nah, I just love to tease all my CF-enthused pals that they’re part of a cult!
In all honesty though, I miss team sports and I think I’d actually really like CF, the atmosphere of training with others, the accountability, etc.
I recently joined a running team though, and I”m training for a marathon – so at least I have that!
Awesome! Does your team have a cool nickname? Have you done any urban-adventure races as a team? Those are pretty fun as well. The CF thing is pretty funny at times and easy to make fun of. Some of the peeps take themselves way too seriously although the togetherness and accountability aspects are some redeeming qualities of it.
It’s actually a long distance training group that runs out of a local shop in Buffalo. I’m brand new, and we’ve only gone on one run together.
And to be honest… my first impression was only so-so. Some of the people on the team were very friendly and welcoming, some were so not. And worst of all, the “instructors” and “coaches” seem LEAST approachable of all. I’m really hoping it was just first week jitters on my part and stress on theirs and that as time goes on, everyone will gel and loosen up a bit.
Even on their social media stuff though, they aren’t really into engagement. They pump out content, but then don’t engage (totally a HUGE pet peeve of mine!).
I wish I had like a legit TEAM. I’ve run with TNT before, and that was fun. People actually hung out outside of training. I feel like CF people all have a friendship with each other.
Wow, it is the cultfit week for awesome quotes, thanks over there. A good quote helps in deciding if it gets do me or not.
We don’t do much well around here but digging up pithy quotes in one of our finer attributes 🙂
Absolutely adore the life approach. Love individualism. Keep on.
One of the main undertones of this blog-o-thingy is that if we focused more on ourselves and not competing, comparing ourselves to others .. Life would be pretty damn cool!
Damn cool is right. Preach on. (Hence, my well-worn term, “inner conversation…”)
Damn cool.
This is great! Thank you!
Thank you Alyssa!
