What is the one word that is often most overused and the least understood practicing yoga – anything? Intention.
…
Setting an intention is a mentality that demands, demands that we live in a way that prompts an “As if…” approach to living. Rather than the convenient “What if…” approach to living.
Being mindful, centers on being in the moment, putting aside attachments to past and our unrelenting attachment to the future. Setting an intention is akin to living backwards in time. Intention suggests that we envision a reality and begin living in that reality, immediately, like right now! Rather than waiting for “intention” to magically happen to us, or for us.
Daily Meditation:
150 tedious words to describe one profound word, Intention.
Well done!
Thank you!
[…] A wonderful post from CultFit on (In)tention. […]
Great reminders to really be in the moment. It’s so easy to just go on autopilot with life. I love this post.
This “intention” thing irks me to no end at times .. I’ll save you from my rant. 😉 I hope all is well in your neck of the woods, take care!
Sankalpa… It is also good to set your intention before starting your Yoga practice. Takes it on a whole new level..
“When you say something with your whole being…. it can transform the world” -Thich Nhat Hanh
Wonderful inspiration and reminder.
